PHOTOGRAPHERS OF PASSPORT CONTROL FROM THE CAFÉS & CITIZENRY PROJEKT

The photographer participants of the MEDIAWAVE Summer Art Camp took photos of every detail during the 1st event of Cafés & Citizenry Project: rehearsals, plain moments, closing concert and they shot portraits of the participants.
They kept in mind the developing os the café atmosphere, e.g.: the wall painting which was changing day by day and gave a special feeling to the scene.

PORTRAITS OF MUSICIAN & GROUP PHOTO

The music workshop insired Ági Herdics to do portraits of musicians and collagues among the antique walls of the Kovács grange.

CLOSING CONCERT OF MUSIC WORKSHOP OF CAFÉS & CITIZENRY PROJECT

On 6th of August at 9pm the closing concert of the music workshop started on the big stage of Kovács Grange in Kisharsány within the confines of Ördögkatlan Festival. The audience was very much interested in the concert so we moved the performance form the café looking shed. We were lucky to do so, becasue we wouldn't have fit there.

The closing concert was opened by Zoltán Balog Minister of Human Resources. The atmosphere of the concert was so great that at the end every one started to dance and we partied all night.

CAFÉS & CITIZENRY SLAM POETRY WORKSHOP CLOSING PERFORMANCE

During the slam poetry workshop first the poets got to know each other. Later - around the camp fire - and on the rehearsals they started to cooperate with Dudu, alias Dániel Horváth who is a great and sensitive, very talented violinist. The closing performance is the result of their cooperation.

MUSIC WORKSHOP - ATMOSPHERE OF REHEARSAL

The music workshop gather for 2nd August with the help of Miklós Both and they rehearsed the next few days, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th. In the morning and in the afternoon 3-3 hours. They have put together 3 songs which were wirtten by Miklós Both, but the open parts were free for the musicians to fill with their own ideas, musical tradition. It was hard work. They practiced the songs a lot and it was worth it as we, audience were feeling from the other side. They were paying attention to reach the audience, every one with their own tools.

SLAM POETRY WORKSHOP REHEARSAL

The literature or slam poetry workshop was also wandering around and rehearsing, practicing all the time and anyhwere. At the groove, the campfire, on the street which gave them a bigger publicity, especially when they were still practicing at 2, 3 am.

CAFÉ - WORK IN PROGRESS

The abandoned shed of the Kovács grange was transformed to a coffe house. It was used by the participants of the literature/ slam poetry and also the visitors of the Ördögkatlan Festival. You could sit sown for a coffee and chat or listen to the evening concerts. On the first day fine artists started to paint the outline of the coffee house scene, the project's emblem on one of the walls. Than, every day they coloured and decorated it so on the last day it was ready and glamorous.

FREE TIME

The participants of the project were living their own life outside the rehearsals, they were dating, talking to fans and giving interviews.

.

LOCAL PUB FEELINGS

After the hard working day the musicians often relaxed and played at the campfire or in the local pub much to every one's delight. This was also a causing effect in a lot of local people and city audience also appearing at the closing concert.
