The Archives of Films from Győr want to collect all the activity in connection with films from Győr and from the environs of the town. In this sense, all the amateur, independent and professional film-makers, who live or lived in Győr are regarded as film–makers of Győr; in addition those, who did activities in connection with films in a part of their life. And we also consider those films as film of Győr, whice were made in camps, studios or workshops in Győr or int he outskirts of the town.

Int he following parts, you can learn more about the films and their datas broken down into chronological order and names of directors. Int he galery of videos the films made in camps and workshops can be reached separatedly.

Here you can find films, archive film selections, interviews presenting Film Fund Győr. They are about film production, professional training, education, audiovisual archives, digital cinemas and film events, conferences, festivals.

From 2000 Mediawave Festival organises a music section with many workshops. In this section we are inviting musicians from different countries to take part in a workshop. At the begining the workshops were lead by world famous artists like William Parker, Hamid Drake, Rob Brown and talented musicians from Hungary and from the sorrounding countries took part. Then, we worked out various ways to let talented young musicians get in touch and work together with veteran musicians to let them develop their talents. As the young artists get acquainted with the different ways of composition and different forms of instrumentation not only in theory but in practise as well they skills in music will develope fast. From the autumn of 2007 the Musical Workshops in Rómer House serve for this developement.

Here you can watch some little parts of the films – by the contribution of the film-makers – which will participate in the international competition and panorama programme. The short films are categorized the same way as in the brochure.

Here we collect all the recorded concerts, performances, discussions. They are only short items or framed parts. We have also many raw material which will be prepared and uploaded as soon as possible.

From 1997 Mediawave festival was invited to many other cities as a so called „mini-festival”. With the help of the Hungarian Institution in Prague, a three-day-long Mediawave Festival took place in Prague, in Divadlo u Hasicu (so called „Fireman” Theatre). Then, in 1998 the Festival took place in Prague, Paris, Berlin, Bordeaux. In addition there was also an Oriental Tour through Kazakhstan – Djungaria - Tibet – China, which was the most succesful Festival in the history of Mediawave. Now we know that this tour is a milestone in the history of culture because at that times it was very hard to get in he country as a tourist and it was even harder to get in as a mini festival with 13 person. The raw material of the European Tour has not been prepared yet, but the videos of the Oriental Tour can be available here.

From time to time, there are reports of Mediawave Festival and of many other festivals, workshops, creative camps etc. The majority of them sum up the mood of the festival in a good way.
